Tehsil Bhera History

Tehsil Bhera History (Urdu: تحصیل بھیرہ),is a subdivision (tehsil) of Sargodha District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The tehsil's headquarters is situated in the city of Bhera. On July 17, 2012, chief minister of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Shrif announced it as a Tehsil on the demand of Mrs. Zubia Rubab Bharath MPA (PMLQ). After that day it is recognized as Bhera Tehsil of Sargodha district. Bhera is situated among various historical cities. Bhera tehsil is administratively subdivided into 16 Union Councils and 12 wards of Municipal committee. Population is 250,000 (2016 estimated) being mainly Muslim and Punjabi speaking.
Bhera is located in the middle of the motorway(M2) through Bhera interchange distance from Islamabad is 183KM and Lahore is 207KM, The river Jhelum is flows near the city. Neighbor tehsils are East side Malikwal, West Shahpur, North Bhalwal and South Pind Dadan khan.
